A Shared Bond of Duty

As the founder of Bracken Host, my passion for supporting UK HM Forces Veterans is deeply personal. I served 14.5 years in the British Army (REME), a journey that took me from the UK and Germany (BAOR) to Cyprus, and into Northern Iraq with the Royal Marines 3 Commando Brigade Air Sqn.

That sense of duty doesn’t end when you hang up the uniform. Today, I am a proud member of the Royal British Legion and the Royal British Legion Riders Branch, where I am honoured to serve as their webmaster.

The Hands That Healed Me

Like many across the UK, I have reaped the benefits of our wonderful NHS. But for me, it goes deeper: quite simply, they saved my life a few years ago. Without their skill and tireless care, I wouldn’t be here today to tell the story of Bracken Host.

I give back to that service as a Blood Biker. We are the silent couriers of the medical service, transporting urgent blood, platelets, and samples between hospitals. It is a vital, volunteer-led link in the chain of care.

Through our partnership and my role within the Riders Branch, Bracken Host remains steadfast in supporting the Poppy Appeal and the vital work of the Legion across the UK.
